THE ESTABLISHMENT
The story of a love lasting more than a century
At the beginning of the last century, Poetto was still a pristine expanse of white dunes, salty breezes, and silence. People came here to enjoy the sun and the quiet, seeking well-being between sand and sea. And it was precisely from this quest that the Lido was born in 1914, at the behest of Gaetano Usai. An elegant and visionary seaside resort, designed to offer the people of Cagliari an exclusive place to rediscover themselves... under the sun. Over the years, the Lido has grown with the city: it has been renovated, expanded, and modernized, but without ever losing the elegance and warmth of its origins. Today, it's a small seaside village where you can find everything you desire: relaxation, sports, entertainment, cuisine, family, events, and a deep connection with nature. The Lido is open year-round for those who love the sun, even in winter. The bathing season runs from June 1st to September 30th, but the excitement has no calendar.
